Egg drop

On Tuesday our class did a egg drop. An egg drop is when you have a glass that is fulled with water, a plastic plate, an empty toilet roll and one egg.

The experiment worked because the gravity pushed the egg down into the water. The force of the gravity pushed the egg down because eggs are something that you can physically touch. The egg went into the cup because the plate and toilet roll was removed fast enough to leave the egg behind and not take it with the toilet roll and plate.

Sailing Story

One day there was this guy. His name was Bostan . Bostan was the best sailor and loved sailing. One day Bostan was sailing and he was sitting on the starboard side. He was on an optimist yacht and wanted to be a sailor racing in the Americas cup.

He had researched all about optimist yachts and is researching about catamarans.
As a kid all of his posters all over the walls was yachts,  yachts and more yachts. Traveling around the world sailing was his dream until the catastrophe.

The catastrophe destroyed his career and nearly his life.  When Bostan was about 20 years old he was in a head on collision.  The car that he crashed into was not a car it was truck. The truck hit him so hard that Bostan flying out of his seat and ripped his seat belt out.  The truck driver range 111 and the out of the distance came an ambulance.

A couple of days later Bostan got out of hospital but he came out of hospital diferent. He came out with a bad memory left in his mind and he was left in a wheelchair.  That’s how his career turned now he just has to watch.

Stockcar Racing

Stockcars

-1.How many years have you been racing stock cars? Crystal
-2.How many stockcars have you owned? Charlotte
-3.Do you name your stockcars?John
-4.Where in the world would you like to race your Stock Car? Daniel
-5.Would you like your stockcar racing to become a career? Georgia

Stockcar racing is a car destroying sport. It has destroyed many cars and Racetracks.  I have been racing cars for a few years.  I have owned more that my dad and have one name for all of my cars.  I have also raced all over the North Island.

Stockcar racing is a hobby I have been doing since I was six.  I had watch my Dad and Uncle create the sport. Now it has turned into a hobby for our family.  We have stockcars, street stocks and saloons.  Ever since I was six I have had more cars and more broken parts than my dad and brother. Over all I have had five stockcars and one of the I am racing now and the other four have totaled and aren’t strong enough to race.  I have had two streetstocks and three saloons.

I have got a nickname it is Maddog.  It is Maddog because when I was little and started racing I had a name that my Mum chose then when I got a game on our playstation there was a name that I really liked. The name was Maddog.  Ever since we had that game it has been my name.

My family and I have been traveling to meetings all over the North Island and we have had one trip down south.  We traveled to Nelson and all of us want to go for one more trip to the South Island.  The next big trip that our family wants to go on is to Christchurch.

In response to your question about stockcar racing becoming my career, I would like for it to become my career.  Sadly, racing RC stockcars does not earn you money.  Due to this, stockcars wouldn't make a good career but would make a fabulous hobby.

Maths Tests Scores

For the past five days our class has been doing maths basic facts tests. This is a pie graph it has all by results put in to percentages. I don't think a pie graph is the best graph for a score because it shows the percentage not the actual score.

This is a bar graph I think that this is the better way to graph your scores because it show the actual score and not the percentage like a pie chart.

Alaska has activities and scenery that New Zealand doesn’t. They have the Northern Lights. The Northern Lights are colorful waves in the sky. They can be red, purple and green . The northern lights come to Alaska every Sled dog racing is an alaskan sport. They race in sleds and get pulled by a pack of 16 dogs.
