Have you ever smelt summer?

Remember that time when we went fishing and saw a school of kawhai go past 
That was summer

Remember that time when you were driving us down to the river and you stopped at a creek to have a quick jump in?

The last day of the Year

I really enjoyed Camp this Year.
Because It was a great experience.

The thing I want to get better at is using multimedia on my blog
because I don't use them much on my blog.

I liked being in a Digi class
because it is something different to being in a normal class with pen and paper.

This is my wonder poster I made. It is about a book that the class is reading called Wonder.

The Five Powerful Captains

Once there was five  adventures their names were Rhys, Daniel Stefan, Seth, Jacob.  They went on so many adventurers that they made up nicknames for themselves. Rhys made up Captain America and he could see far, far away, Daniel Captain Underpants, Stefan was Captain Ukba, Seth was Captain Jack Sparrow and Jacob was Captain Chubaka. They all had super powers Rhys was unable to be killed, Daniel could fly and Stefan was bomb proof and bullet proof , Seth was Captain Jack Sparrow able to summon lightning, Jacob was Captain Chubaka and he was able to make people really hairy.

Then one day when they went on an adventure they were challenged for their ship but they said “NO JUST GO AWAY!” said Captain Jack Sparrow
“What island are we going to now” Said Captain America
“Maybe Candy Island” Said Captain Underpants
“But Candy Island is not real” said Captain Ukba
“Yes it is But Candy Island hasn’t been found  in 200 years” Said Captain Chubaka
“Oh come on mate lets just try it might be easy to find but it might take all of our lives and it might take a few months or even a few years but its worth it” Said Captain America
So they went on there journey to find candy island Then
“Hey what is that it looks like an island lets check it out. It looks like Candy Island.  FULL STEAM AHEAD!!” said Captain America
But when They got there it had a big sign saying If you are going to candy island go that way So they Went that way. But What they didn’t know was that it wasn't Candy island that they had found it was Death Island.
“Hey what about if we just sleep here for the night and have a try in the morning sun it would be easier for you to see the island then we would get some candy to eat”said Captain
The Next Day They went to the ship and then Captain America had a look around to see if he could see the Island but it was nowhere to be seen.
“Ok guys lets carry on with the journey so we we can get to where we want to go”
So that day they carried on with the journey


A few days later
“Ok guys lets carry on with the journey so we we can get to where we want to go.”
The same thing happened they went on and on to go and find their destination. Then in the middle of the day they found another island and then when they went closer to the island it looked like there was blue hills and pink shores with lollipops and lollies and hills covered in lollies. And when they got there they had a look at it and there it was Candy Island the island they have been looking for it. It has been years since they have never found an island that had been so nice they would normally been made out of dirt, mud and lots of yucky stuff.


This is a story that I wrote it is about the five of us going on and adventure to Candy Island. Candy island is a island on an TV show called The Adventures Of Flap Jack.

My trip to Nelson

On Friday a few weeks ago at 8 o'clock in the morning I went to Wellington and stayed there for one night. Then at 5 o'clock Saturday morning 10 of us had to wake up and then at 6 o'clock we went in a van to go to the Blue Bridge Terminal to get on the ferry that was leaving at eight in the morning. When we got there it was time to get some thing to eat. On Saturday we went to McDonald's and then we went to racing in a chiller. When we got there we saw no one there so we waited for the people to get there.

After the first rounds of racing I got into the b main. The b main is the 2nd best group. At the end of the b main finals I got 14th out of 20 cars. There were 58 people that were racing and there were 12 people that are from the North Island that were down there.

My First letter to my pen pal in U.S.A

This is my kiwi off my letter that I wrote to my pen pal. It has this drawing of a kiwi. I did it is hand written. I got to chose my pen pal because I didn't have my name written on the list of people in the class in America.

The Bittern

These are the questions we have been doing. They are about the book 

1. Because the bird would of been getting food from there
2. Because it says they were running around like headless chickens
3. Because grandad didn’t drain out his swamp and many animals could live there
4. I think they might feel a bit angry because the farmers would've wanted to raise animals there.
5.Good because the bittern might of been getting food from the swamp

This is the reading task we had to do for the book we have it is called the bittern it is about the a bird called the bittern going to granddads swamp because granddad is not draining his swamp out.

Production Diary Part 3

Dear Diary Today we painted our big mastercard its for the end of our advert and Tyrin bought his fake mastercard and then we made some masks for the all blacks to have they were Sonny Bill, Ma'a Nonu, Danny C and Richie Mccaw.

Production diary part 2

22/8/12
Dear Diary Today we have practiced and sorted out the props and things that we had to bring from home. I have to bring fancy cloths like black pants and a long black fancy shirt because I am the butler. It is an easy part I only have to say “How can I help you sir?” Its easy to remember Its just that I need to speak up. When I went on stage I felt a bit nervous for the first time.

Production diary part 1

Dear Diary today we were in room 19 finding out what part of the production we are and my name had just been called out and I am in the advert part of the production  and we have finished day one of it and we know the advert we are doing. My group is me, Brodie, Kayden, Sam, Tyrin and Jake. Were doing the All Blacks master card Ad Its pretty easy but it is also a bit hard to remember the lines.

During this week team five have been practicing our production and the class has been writing a production diary.

My How am I learning Refection

I am halfway through my awesome year of learning in Room 20. How am I learning?

Some things that are different about this year are having a computer and sharing things to my learning buddy and them sharing something with me too.

Having a computer and Google account has helped me learn new things and help my friends fix up their work if they need help.

I like having a blog because I can share things with the world and the class.

I share my learning by putting my work on my blog and by being confident and doing new things.

I help others by helping them when they want someone to help I help them.

I use ICT to help my learning in reading, writing and maths in a document because I can do lots of things like inserting a graph for maths.

I get feedback for my learning from Mr M  and the class and They give me feedback by when I comment on their blogs then they will comment on my blog This makes me feel happy that they are commenting on my blog

Things I am really proud of achieving in Room 20 is getting to write on a document.

I am learning faster by recording my voice in an reflection it helps me get more confident by saying something like a reflection of what we have done in front of an audience.

The worst day for being a cat

One day I was eating my breakfast when I saw a little fluff ball. This is my story...


Hey what's that over there? Is it a fluff ball?  There, it's a one eyed thing. The thing is doing the moonwalk to the blasting music. 


Don’t disturb me! I’m eating my food. Don’t run away. I want to play with you! 
He runs around and around the spotty mat and disappears in one of the dots. I can’t find him he is gone. Pop! He pops out of one of the dots, he is really fast. I can barely see him. Meow don’t change the song they are cool songs. He’s changing the music on the stereo. Come back here now otherwise I will stop playing and go sit on my bed and be lazy. Ahh!! I fell off a chair and landed on the floor. Then I went and jumped off the couch and hurt my leg. 


Then the girl came and picked me up. That was when she started talking to me like I was a baby. That was the worst day of my life.

Stuck in a Digi World

A long long time ago in a digi world there was a guy. His name was Steve. He was building his house when some zombies, creepers and slime started chasing him. SMACK! He hits one on the head. The sun starts coming up and the zombies, creepers and slime start to run away.
“Rhys, Seth, Josh, Stefan, get your swords and come help fight the  zombies, creepers and slime. They are chasing me. Help me. Fight them off!” said Steve. SMACK! BANG! CRASH! All of the zombies and other things die and catch on fire. “Now I can finish our house,” said Steve.

Rhys, Seth, Josh, Stefan run off to find some gold and diamonds to make some pickaxes and axes for getting iron and cobble stone to build their sheds for weapons. “Look over here! It’s gold! We're rich, we're rich!” exclaimed Stefan.

Oh,  my name’s Steve. Sorry not to introduce myself earlier on. I have some dumb mates called Rhys, Seth, Josh and Stefan. They are my slaves for the rest of their lives.  This is how it all started. Well, one day I started a challenge. Then they came along and challenged me and lost. Then they became my slaves. That day on I punished them and said go get me some gold and make me rich.  That was how it all started.







This is my Stuck in a Digi world writing. It is based on Minecraft. Minecraft is a game on the Xbox and computer. It is a game where you can build houses and other things like pools and big book or TV characters if you wanted.

Letter to V.M Jones

Dear V.M Jones,

Hi my name is Rhys, I thought your book was amazing. It is the best books I’ve read. One of my favorite subjects at school is writing as well as art.

Room 20 have just finished your book and we were reading the notes and your authors note. In your note it said you have been to many schools in New Zealand and we hope you can come to our school some time.
Your book was AWESOME!! I like the part when Josh went back to get his brother in the triathlon in the chapter, The end of the race.  I really enjoyed the part where we got to meet Buddy.


My favourite character was Josh because he was determined to keep on going in the 
triathlon 

Hopefully you can write more books for us to read.
